Integration

Connect InboundShipments with Blue Yonder WMS

The planned Blue Yonder integration is designed to unify inbound shipment visibility with warehouse execution. Sync ETAs, automate receiving handoffs, and align inventory data between InboundShipments and Blue Yonder Warehouse Management.

Planned integration capabilities

These features are on our roadmap to connect InboundShipments inbound tracking with Blue Yonder warehouse operations.

Inbound Visibility Sharing

The planned integration is designed to push real-time shipment ETAs and milestone updates from InboundShipments into Blue Yonder WMS, giving warehouse teams advance notice of what is arriving and when so they can plan labor and dock resources accordingly.

Receiving Data Synchronization

Upcoming bi-directional sync will ensure that when goods are receipted in Blue Yonder, actual quantities, variance details, and quality notes flow back to InboundShipments automatically, keeping procurement and logistics teams aligned without manual updates.

Inventory Position Alignment

The roadmap includes syncing expected inbound inventory from InboundShipments into Blue Yonder so demand planners can see incoming stock alongside current warehouse inventory, improving replenishment decisions and reducing safety stock buffers.

ASN and PO Data Transfer

Planned automation will map InboundShipments purchase orders and advance shipment notices to Blue Yonder inbound orders, ensuring item-level details, packaging information, and expected delivery windows are consistent across both systems.

Exception and Delay Alerts

When InboundShipments detects a shipment delay or ETA change, the planned integration will notify Blue Yonder so the WMS can automatically adjust receiving schedules, reallocate dock doors, and update downstream fulfillment commitments.

Supplier Performance Metrics

By combining InboundShipments supplier tracking data with Blue Yonder receiving performance metrics, the upcoming integration will enable end-to-end supplier scorecards covering on-time shipment, delivery accuracy, and goods receipt quality.

Why connecting InboundShipments and Blue Yonder matters

Linking inbound visibility to warehouse execution removes the manual handoffs that slow down receiving and inventory availability.

1

Bridge the gap between transportation and warehouse operations

Inbound logistics and warehouse execution often operate in separate systems with no real-time data link. The planned Blue Yonder integration will connect these workflows so that shipment status changes trigger warehouse actions automatically, reducing coordination overhead.

2

Reduce receiving bottlenecks with better pre-arrival data

When the warehouse knows exactly what is on each inbound load and when it will arrive, receiving teams can pre-stage labor, equipment, and putaway locations. This advance preparation reduces dock dwell time and gets inventory available faster.

3

Improve demand planning with inbound pipeline visibility

Blue Yonder demand planning becomes more accurate when it can factor in real shipment ETAs instead of static lead times. The planned integration will feed live inbound data into the supply chain planning layer for better inventory decisions.

4

Maintain a single source of truth for receiving records

Bi-directional sync means neither system holds stale data. When a receipt is confirmed in Blue Yonder, InboundShipments updates the PO status. When a shipment delay is detected, Blue Yonder adjusts its receiving schedule. Both teams work from the same information.

5

Reduce manual reconciliation between systems

Teams that manage inbound logistics in one system and warehouse operations in another spend hours each week reconciling data. The planned integration will automate this reconciliation, freeing up operational staff for higher-value work.
